NICHE started its journey as an Engineering College in 1989, driven by a vision to establish itself as a distinguished centre of excellence in higher education characterized by uncompromising standards of discipline and ethics. In the year 2008, NICHE was accorded Deemed-to-be-University status and was awarded Grade ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)
The Department of Computer Applications at Noorul Islam Centre For Higher Education has been imparting instruction in computer applications with the most modern curriculum and syllabus to students of the postgraduate course since 1994. It has succeeded in creating its place of excellence among its counterparts in India. The department has been attracting bright students from all parts of the country for quality education in computer applications at the postgraduate level. The department endeavors to play a vital role in the applications of computers by promoting innovative work in software engineering, human-computer interaction, intelligent systems, etc. It is committed to providing an exciting academic program to prepare students for the greatest challenges of the 21st century.
The broad objective of the department is to prepare graduate students for productive careers in the software industry/academia by providing an outstanding environment for teaching and research in the core and emerging areas of the discipline. The program's thrust is on giving the students a thorough and sound background in theoretical and application-oriented courses relevant to the latest computer software development.

UG Arts & Science:
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam with at least 40% marks in any discipline.
PG Arts & Science:
Candidates must have passed a UG course with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates).
Ph. D:
A Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree (M. Sc/ M. E/ M. Tech/ M. Phil/ M. A/ MBA/ MCA) from a Government-Recognized University.
